I am having this problem. My brower has Adultfriendfinder, Travians(browser game), Finance Finder and a request to log into Facebook pop ups. I exit them all the time but they pop back up when i go to a different page. Sometimes 3 at a time. I assumed that it was probably adware, so i ran my various adware removers and malwarebytes. It found some stuff and i removed them but what ever it found wasn’t causing the pop ups. It is still popping up constantly whenever I am on the internet 5,6 at a time pop up.. How can I remove them for good?? Please help me!

Download Ad Aware www.lavasoft.com & Spybot Search & Destroy www.safer-networking.org (Both free). They will scan your computer and remove all the unwanted software on your computer.

  3. If you still can run programs on your system, try the online Spyware Doctor. It’s worked for me more than once. If you have a trojan that won’t allow anything to run, try booting up in "safe" mode and hit "Repair Computer". That should repair any registry entries that automatically starts malware that you don’t want. I had a phony Virus Scanner take over my whole system today and the system restore got me back up and running again. Good luck!!!

  5. there is no blanket "2 click-fix" everyone would love, and the bad guys know most users keep ‘out-of-the-box’ browsers & OS configurations which can be compromised quite easily.

Try "Malwarebytes" to start cleaning up your system:

Don’t let these parasites into your system in the first place!
The following tips help, but methods (vectors) constantly change.
►FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings…"> Check ‘Accept Cookies from sites’
    & Un-Check ‘Accept 3rd Party cookies’

This list is a few of the essential items you should have.
Note that the Internet is so fluid and dynamic, and exploits crop up almost hourly, it is imperative to stay current with all phases of Windows defensive measures, and keep all rubbish out: stopped @ your doorstep.
    ►►NoScript:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...
    ►►Better Privacy:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6623
    ►AdBlock Plus:
    http://adblockplus.org/en/
    ►Flashblock Plus:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433
    ►Ghostery (reveal the web bugs, ad networks and widgets on every page);
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9609
[After install it MUST be turned "ON": FF Tools> add-on's> Extensions> Ghostery> Options button> Blocking tab> "Select" All & "ON"> Save.
    [Thanks "SurfUp" contributor].
    ►Web of Trust:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3456

Most of these will confine your interaction with a website (which is a good thing: i.e. allowing you to verify if you want the interaction), but on the other hand, they speed up browser page loads, as they block a lot of the 3rd party assets being requested from remote servers.
►Special note: Firefox has been hacked by Microsoftie.
Microsoft has installed, (unknown and unannounced) to Firefox, rubbish that degrades the security of Firefox to little more than IE.
Check your FF ‘Add-on’s’> "Extensions" & "Plug-in’s" box and disable NET framework, Windows Presentation Foundation, Shockwave, Silverlight, Java stuff, or other active scripting rubbish.

    INTERNET EXPLORER: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced:
here check ‘Override automatic….’; ‘Allow session cookies’; ‘Allow 1st party cookies’ & ‘Block 3rd Party Cookies’.
Using IE (all flavors) and allowing "active scripting" is the single biggest mistake people make. "Drive by installs", "Opacity based attacks", and many other malware problems arise from this feature alone…(switch to Firefox).

And, get this installed: ►"HOSTS file" (from mvps.org) which blocks evil webpage assets from re-directs which install malware or trashware. (Vista requires special instructions; on-page link)

    **********
Rouge malware and escalating server based spyware are becoming indistinguishable & may cause system misbehavior .
Requires "Opt Out" on EVERY browser on EVERY machine.
    Google here: http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html
    Yahoo here: http://info.yahoo.com/relevantads/
Turn off ’spell check’ may help, as this sends keystrokes back to the server also, which may be used to ‘target’ advertising.

When installing ANY new application, check the EULA or ToS for ‘Toolbars’ and/or other crud they try to slip past ya’.

    Good luck. ;)
